Carrefour
Product Recommendation Tool
Description
Carrefour Product Scout is a team effort to make the product selection process easier and smarter for buyers. The tool uses data insights and advanced algorithms to help buyers make quicker and more accurate decisions.
My Contribution
I was in charge of designing how the tool works and feels. I ran workshops with key stakeholders to figure out what everyone needed, created designs that put users first, and built prototypes to test things out.
I worked on every part of the design process, updated the designs based on feedback, and teamed up with developers to make sure everything came together smoothly.
Impact
This project made the product selection process much faster and gave buyers more confidence in their choices. By focusing on what users needed and aligning with Carrefour’s goals, the tool made things more efficient and scalable for their operations.

The Process —Step 1
Understanding
Requirement Analysis
I kicked off the project by hosting a workshop with the Product Owner (PO), Project Manager (PM), and key users. This session was super helpful in understanding what our users really needed. Everyone pitched in with ideas, which made it easy to align on the project’s goals and challenges.
Tool Structure Planning
Using what we learned in the workshop, I mapped out the structure of the tool. I made sure it was user-friendly and practical. Wireframes came in handy to visualize the layout and set the stage for discussions.
The Process —Step 2
Designing
Content Layout
I arranged the content so it flowed logically and made sense for users. The focus was on keeping things simple and easy to navigate, so users wouldn’t feel overwhelmed.
Visual Design
With Carrefour’s branding in mind, I designed visuals that were not just eye-catching but also aligned with their identity. The goal was to make the tool intuitive and enjoyable to use.
The Process —Step 3
Refining
User/Client Reviews
I shared the designs with users and stakeholders for feedback. Their input was crucial in understanding how they interacted with the tool and what improvements could be made.
Design Updates
Based on the feedback, I updated the designs step by step. This back-and-forth process helped make sure the final design really worked for everyone.
The Process —Step 4
Prototyping
Prototype Development
I created a working prototype to show how the tool would look and feel in action. It was a great way to bring the concept to life for everyone involved.
Prototype Refinement
After testing the prototype, I made tweaks to fix any issues and improve usability. This helped make sure the tool was polished and ready to go.
The Process —Step 5
Collaboration
Design Support
Throughout development, I was there to answer questions and make any necessary adjustments to keep things on track.
Developer Handoff
I worked closely with the developers, providing design assets and explaining the details to make sure the tool was built just right.
The Process —Step 6
Delivering Outcomes
Outcome Showcase
Finally, I presented the completed tool, highlighting its best features and how it solved the client’s needs. The feedback was positive, and the tool made a real difference in the product selection process.
